Matt Fitzgerald serves as a instructor with Appalachian Financial Literacy Group, where he supports the organization’s mission of delivering clear, unbiased financial education to individuals navigating complex benefit and retirement decisions. Since graduating from Duquesne University in 2018, Matt has been committed to helping individuals better understand their options so they can make informed, confident decisions about their financial future.

Through educational conversations and ongoing client support, Matt strives to be a trusted point of contact for those seeking clarity. He believes that education is the foundation of sound decision-making and takes pride in helping participants understand how their benefits work together, both now and in retirement.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys coaching the Cumberland Valley Varsity Ice Hockey team and spending time with friends and family. He is also a dedicated fan of Pittsburgh professional sports teams and enjoys studying their history and player statistics.
