Our SERS Seminar is a one-day educational program designed specifically for members of the Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS). This course provides an in-depth understanding of your retirement benefits and the financial decisions that impact your future. Whether you are new to state service or nearing retirement, this session offers valuable insights to help you make informed choices about your benefits, savings, and retirement readiness.

Understanding Your SERS Pension: eligibility, service credits, benefit calculations, and retirement options. 

Retirement Income Planning: how your SERS pension, Social Security, and personal savings work together. 

Healthcare in Retirement: overview of post-retirement healthcare options and cost considerations. 

Investment and TSP Coordination: strategies to align your personal investment plans with your SERS benefits. 

Financial Wellness: budgeting, debt management, and developing a retirement income strategy. 

Purpose

The purpose of this seminar is to provide SERS employees with the tools and understanding to navigate their state retirement system confidently. This program is educational only—no products or services are sold, and no personalized financial advice is given.

Schedule & Format 

This course is offered both in-person and virtually in a 1 or 2 day format. Sessions typically run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with scheduled breaks and a Q&A session to ensure all participant questions are addressed.
